COLD MOUNTING AND LAMINATING

DUROTECH's line of cold mounting and laminating materials are of the highest quality, with pressure sensitive adhesives that are ideally suited for today's demanding surfaces. The range of products cover archival qualities, ultraviolet (UV) light and abrasion protection as well as flame retardancy and compatibility with special inks and toners. A wide variety of textures available on DUROTECH's overlaminates insures liberty in choosing that which appeals artistically.

Mounting

DUROTECH offers a variety of mounting materials, each one tailored to specific applications. Listed below are two broad categories of products. The first set comprises the DUROMOUNT pressure sensitive adhesive mounting films that can best be applied with a roller laminator. These films are sold in rolls 150' or 300' in length and varying widths, some up to 62". The second category consists of the DUROSIL silicone system that is used in face mounting display materials that do not only require durable protection, but also the sparkle that can only be achieved with silicone adhesives. Again, a roller laminator is the best tool in applying these materials.

Overlaminating

DUROTECH's overlaminating films provide an opportunity to adjust the surface texture of prints to the artistic requirements of the customer, while at the same time providing protection, e.g. against UV light, mechanical or chemical abuse. They come in two varieties: cold overlaminating films and those with a heat activatable adhesive. In all cases, roller laminators are the designated application tools with heated rollers or hot shoes indicated when thermal materials are used. When laminates are used for encapsulating, roller laminators with upper and lower application stations are preferred to allow one step processing. Except where noted, all DUROTECH cold overlaminating films are sold in rolls 150' or 300' in length and varying widths, some up to 62".
